I haved talked and talked about starting a blog so here I go......... I mentioned it in part of my 25 random things about me from Facebook. (My complete list is bellow.... you will find info you may or may not have known about me and also the meaning behind the name of my blog....) The purpose of my blog will be to keep in touch with all my loved ones and update everyone on what's going on with me, including keeping everyone informed on news about Mark and his deployment.... Please bear with me as I get things started :-).....
25 Random Things about ME
1. I love anything and everything pumpkin! And punkin was also the nickname my parent’s called me.
2. My mom was going to name me Noel because her due date for me was X-Mas (or really close to it…. I was just a little bit late)
3. I used to own snakes as pets in elementary and high school. (2 garter snakes – Slinky and Dinky, 1 python – Monty)
4. I used to be and kind of still am obsessed with Ewoks.
5. I twirl my hair constantly and I can tie my hair in a knot with one hand really fast. It’s my stupid human trick.
6. Speaking of my hair…. I started going grey at 21! So I haven’t had my ‘natural’ color for 6 years… must run in the Ruedy family (at least with the girls eh? Sisters… Cousin… we’re all grey I guess)
7. I was in the chess club in elementary school and band too (violin and clarinet)
8. I am on my 5th car in 11 years of driving….. (’89 Jimmy, ’98 Jimmy, ’00 Cavalier, ’03 Cavalier, ’06 HHR…… so if I follow the pattern my 6th car will be a new HHR….)
9. I have a tattoo that is my mom’s initials inside of a heart with wings. (I really like all the symbolical meanings of a heart with wings so I now collect them)
10. My biggest fear is one of my dogs getting hit by a car
11. I have known my best friend Ashley since I was 2, that’s 25 years!!!
12. I have never been fired from a job.
13. A nervous habit I have is I pick at my cuticles (just like my big sis). If my cuticles are all red and raw then it’s a pretty good indication that I’m stressed out.
14. I used to have a hemangioma birth mark…. It has since disappeared as I got older (thank god).
15. I am a perfectionist but I am learning to let go and realize that not every thing can be perfect…
16. I think I have ADHD because I get sick of one thing and move on to the next…. I have a ton of unfinished projects
17. I have skeletons in my house….. Dia de Los Muertos figurines/katrinas from Mexico. I think I have 7 now in my collection.
18. I hate white walls. I LOVE color and I think just about every color is represented in my house….
19. I do NOT like to clothes shop (at least most of the time). If I find something I like I will buy it in every color they have… Ever wonder why it looks like I wear the same outfit every day and yet it’s not the same outfit?.... It is the same shirt, pants, shoes.. just different colors.
20. Going along with #19 if I had the money I would hire a personal shopper and/or stylist.
21. I’m thinking about starting a blog.
22. I think I am a pretty fearless person but I have a HUGE phobia of needles in my veins. Yeah you don’t have to worry about me doing drugs because I think I have cried every single time I have had an IV put in. Getting blood drawn is a nightmare for me. When I was about 11 I had to have 3 male nurses hold me down for them to get a needle in my arm. No one holds me down any more but they do always ask me if I am going to pass out.
23. I really don’t like that I am now closer to 30 than I am to 20 years old.
24. I am a bit reserved when I first meet someone.
25. I can put my foot behind my head.
